Vincent van GoghHuis Zundert

This spring, the Veldhoen heirs donated a sculpture to the Van Gogh Museum in Zundert. Aat Veldhoen was a great admirer of Vincent van Gogh and created three bronze sculptures of him. One of these is in Museum Beelden aan Zee. This sculpture will remain on permanent display in the museum.


The artist Aat Veldhoen would have been deeply pleased that this work has been given a place in the birthplace of this iconic artist. We would like to thank the museum warmly for this special destination.

That is the Protestant church in Zundert, also known as the Van Gogh Church, located on Van Goghplein. Vincent’s father, Theodorus van Gogh, became pastor there in 1849, and Vincent was also baptized there.
